Real Estate 2016

Real estate investing is currently riding a wave of confidence – taking full advantage of a newfound spark in a market that had been posted missing in the years since the global financial crisis. A favoured asset class, real estate activity is continuing at a feverish pace with a number of high-profile deals populating the space. Indeed, the most impressive aspect of the real estate success story over the past 12 months has been the sheer volume of transactions that have taken place; a multitude of deals that have been solid in their conception, as well as smooth in their execution.

FTS deems auctions inappropriate

An auction for the sale of land and buildings of the Samara Printing House, currently at the last stage of bankruptcy, will probably not take place. They were planning to sell 11 buildings located on four plots of land with a total area of over 25,000 sq. m. for 646 million roubles. The auction was scheduled for June 1 of this year. However, the Federal Tax Service of the Samara Region, which is one of the creditors of the company, asked the court to invalidate the decision of the creditors to hold such an auction, as well as to impose provisional measures in the form of a banning such sales. The court granted the request of tax authorities, banning auctions until the court can rule on the prior claim file by the FTS.

Domestic power generation finds itself in difficult conditions, when each new step must be well-thought-out, so as not to exacerbate the already difficult situation.
