On 18 March 2013 the extended session of the RSPP (Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs) Commission on the defence industry complex and section No.3 of the military-industrial conference "The important issues on the development of the defence industry complex of the Russian Federation" took place within framework of the Russian Business Week 2013 of RSPP.
At the session the Chairman of the Board of Partners of the law firm VEGAS LEX Albert Eganyan spoke about Modernization of the defence industry complex and military industrial complex using the instruments of PPP including the life cycle contracts. The speaker analysed the key instruments of PPP available nowadays in Russia with regard to defence industry complex and military industrial complex (concessions, life cycle contracts, etc.), the potential and the field of application of PPP in Russia, as well as the relevant foreign experience, plan of action for the PPP in the defence industry complex pilot projects kick-off etc.
More than 70 representatives of the executive and legislative branch of the government, state-owned holdings and scientific organizations, private companies, social agencies and mass media participated in the event.
The results of the work will be recorded in the minutes and submitted to the Military-industrial Committee of the RF Government.
