VEGAS LEX to speak at the satellite event of SPILF 9 ¾ arranged by Pravo.ruVictor Petrov, Head of Litigation practice at VEGAS LEX, will speak at SPB LEGAL DAY organized by Pravo.ru on the sidelines of St. Petersburg International Legal Forum (SPILF 9 ¾). As opposed to the main network of the Forum’s events, which are held online, this conference will be held in Moscow offline. The most high-profile trials, changes of the practice in the key practice areas of litigation, new bankruptcy practice as well as the hot-button issue of corporate responsibility and challenging loss-making deals of top managers will be discussed at debatable sessions. The event starts from the "Breakfast of Litigators" held in St. Regis Moscow Nikolskaya hotel, at which Victor will deliver his speech. He will tell the attendees about the trends of insurance disputes in the post-pandemic period, specifically: § The timeliness of application of a foreign judicial practice with regard to insurance disputes in the Russian courts, § Active role of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation in the formation of practice with regard to insurance disputes in 2020-2021, § Prospects for consideration of insurance disputes taking into account the pandemic in Russia. The attendees will also discuss the trend to conclude complex settlement agreements, the high-profile business defamation disputes and court practice regarding the recovery of damages due to financial rehabilitation of banks. The event will be further followedby two practical sessions regarding bankruptcy and subsidiary liability as well as the closing late-night informal part "SPB-party with Moscow accent". |
