On March 26 and 27 Moscow hosted the III business platform Onsite power generation for enterprises: relying on energy efficiency, uninterrupted supply and cost-cutting. Senior associate of the VEGAS LEX Energy Projects Group Yuriy Tatarinov attended the event.

Tatarinov spoke at the session on how to minimize risks and ensure the best conditions for companies generating their own power, where legal and financial aspects of onsite power generation were discussed along with relations with default energy suppliers. Tatarinov focused on the legal aspects of onsite power generation, on the existing requirements and on technological connection to power generation facilities, on power transmission services and on legal limitations on power generation and transmission businesses.

The forum participants also discussed the possibilities for minimizing risks, ensuring the best conditions for companies generating their own power and technical aspects of onsite power generation; bioenergy potential and future prospects; and industrial companies’ experience in onsite power generation projects.

The forum gathered more than 350 participants, including the leaders and chief energy engineers from Russia’s leading energy companies, energy consumers and representatives of government agencies.
