VEGAS LEX holds energy supply agreement workshop for Yekaterinburgenergosbyt

On July 16-17, 2015, VEGAS LEX Partner and Head of the Energy Projects Practice Evgeniy Rodin led a two-day workshop, Energy supply agreements: Theory and practice, for employees of the Yekaterinburgenergosbyt power supply utility.

The workshop, which took place at the UMMC Technical University*, was aimed at giving the participants a comprehensive and profound knowledge of how the wholesale and retail markets of power and capacity work in terms of their organization and legal models. The workshop program included studying the system of the industry-related legal acts that regulate power trading on the wholesale and retail markets; studying the players on the wholesale and retail electricity markets, their functions and the system of contract-based relations between them; analyzing the pricing of electricity and ancillary services on the wholesale and retail markets; and looking at the practice of applying laws regulating the wholesale and retail markets’ operation in court.
