In his report, Attracting foreign investment to strategic companies, he listed the key problems in the legal regulation of foreign investment in the subsurface resources management in Russia; explained the specifics of Russian mineral exploration rights acquisition by non-resident companies; and presented a map of Russia’s major oil and gas-bearing regions.

The participants discussed other issues such as the problems and prospects of energy integration in Central Asia; more intensive development of East Siberia’s energy resources; the use of satellite observations to keep track of landscape changes in oil and gas production regions; and increasing natural gas well productive capacity by ultrasonic stimulation.
