VEGAS LEX supports workshop and conference Organization of procurement and supply in the oil and gas industry

The conference, Organization of procurement and supply in the oil and gas industry: efficiency, innovative methods and analytical tools*, will take place on November 17, 2016, as part of the National Oil and Gas Forum and the NEFTEGAZ-2016 international exhibition. The event is officially supported by the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) and the VEGAS LEX law firm.

VEGAS LEX lawyers will lead a legal workshop on New initiatives and arbitration practices in the regulation of procurement by legal entities in the Russian fuel and energy sector. The upcoming workshop will focus on the following issues:

§ The recent amendments and initiatives to amend Law No. 223-FZ aimed at cutting procurement options, tightening the procurement procedures, and the preferences mechanism. Minimizing the risks for the customers and the bidders.

  • The responsibility of officials for violations of procurement rules: risk management.
  • Important problems of administration of law in public procurement: the position of the state watchdogs and judicial practices.

The speakers at the conference will include representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Industry and Trade Ministry, FAS Russia, EY, RSPP, and relevant business units of major oil and gas companies: Rosneft, Lukoil, Gazprom, Gazprom Neft, Tatneft, and Novatek**.
