To develop a concept of upgrading the inland waterways management system in Russia

2008–2009

Vegas Lex experts were charged with developing an effective organizational and legal framework for Russia to accomplish its plans of providing conditions necessary for maintaining the existing inland waterways system, ensuring safe navigation and trouble-free operation of pressure waterworks, and to meet the effective demand of economy and people for transportation services of inland water transport in compliance with modern world standard. The concept was developed on the basis of the best international practices in managing inland waterways systems and approved by the RF Transport Ministry in April 2009.
