2005–2006

The Project was extremely complex in view of the question of the legal nature of budget crediting and the statute of limitations on budget credits.
Vegas Lex experts worked successfully to resolve the disputes with the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and its legal successors regarding return of budget loans and credits in favour of a number of energy joint-stock companies.
As a result, the positive experience was generalized by the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation in its Review of Judicial Practice relating to return of budget loans and credits.
The effective solutions proposed by the Firm allowed our Client to rebuff suits filed by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation totalling 800 million roubles
