On March 14, 2007 Vegas-Lex Law Firm in cooperation with Europaproperty international real estate magazine held the business breakfast “Minimizing risks of investment in Russian real estate” within the framework of the 18th real estate exhibition MIPIM-2007 in Cannes, France.
International MIPIM exhibition gathers over 20,000 participants annually among which are construction, investment and developer companies, municipal and regional administrations, banks, consulting and management companies etc. The exhibition comprises presentation of investment projects, search for international partners, concluding agreements and making new business contacts.
The business breakfast was attended by Mr. Yuri Borisenko, Director of “Real Estate. Land. Construction” Department who made a presentation on “Minimizing risks of investment in Russian real estate in Russia”. Yuri outlined in his report such crucial points which should be concerned by investors in the course of project planning as: main complexities which investors face; losses generators; reduction of losses in the course of construction by means of judicial procedure optimization and application non-routine judicial solutions; main conflict matters between developers, investors and general contractors, management companies and leaseholders, banks and investors, informed on main legal methods applied for avoidance of such conflicts.
Representatives of Expobank, Blackwood company as well as administrations of the Kaliningrad and Ulianovsk Regions also made their reports in the course of the business breakfast.
The breakfast was also attended by: Hinces, Chelamco, KS Development, Rockwell East Star, Basis Element, Project Financing Bank, Sportmaster, RAINCO and others. There were representatives of over 50 companies present.
