On March 25, 2016, senior associate of VEGAS LEX Energy practice Yuriy Tatarinov participated in the IV Business Platform Onsite power generation for enterprises: Relying on energy efficiency, reliability and cost reduction* in Moscow, speaking during the session on Legal aspects: Minimizing risks and ensuring best conditions for launching onsite power generation.

The expert spoke about the requirements and the procedure for technological connection to power generation facilities and thoroughly discussed the provision of power transmission services. He visually described the most important legal limitations on power generation and sale, as well as on payment for power transmission services, which owners of power generation facilities face.

The key issues for discussion at this year’s forum include development, operation and maintenance of generating equipment, development of distributed generation in Russia, successful approaches to the design of distributed generation facilities, ways to effectively implement onsite generation projects; technical issues of launching onsite power generation, ways to finance the construction of an onsite energy center, real experience of building energy centers, and the operation and maintenance of generating equipment.
