VEGAS LEX discusses “odd man out” arrangement at IMEDA roundtable

On April 22, 2016, VEGAS LEX hosted a roundtable on the development of legislation regulating the sale of medical products in Russia and the EAEU, organized jointly with IMEDA Association*.

Manager of Life sciences projects Maria Borzova spoke about the recent practice of applying the legally documented “odd man out” arrangement in public procurement of essential drugs as well as certain types of medical devices (Government Resolution No. 102), citing specific examples from judicial practice.

The participants also discussed the possibility of legalizing parallel imports of medical products in Russia and the EAEU, as well as compulsory licensing and other issues.
