On February 18, 2005, a seminar entitled "Contemporary Land Title Regulation" was held for managers of construction and investment companies in Moscow and Moscow Oblast.  The Information and Exhibition Center of the Construction Complex of Moscow Oblast organized this practical seminar on behalf of the Government of Moscow Oblast.  The Vegas-Lex law firm provided consulting support.

On Thursday, February 17, 2005, a joint session of the Volgograd Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) and the Association of Boards of Directors of Companies and Organizations in Volgograd Oblast was held in Volgograd.  The participants decided to form a working group to organize an Investment Forum to be held in late March or April 2005.  The working group includes managers of the aforementioned organizations, representatives of the Volgograd Oblast Administration, and the managing partner of the Volga Regional Division of the Vegas-Lex law firm.

Vegas-Lex law firm won an appeal in the Federal Arbitration Court for the Central District in a case involving a claim for repayment of government loans and credits brought by the Russian Ministry of Finance on behalf of Kalugaenergo, JSC. The Ministry's claim for over 120 million rubles against Vegas-Lex's client was dismissed.

In February 2005, Komienergo, JSC (a subsidiary of RAO UES) prevailed in the Arbitration Court of the Republic of Komi in its appeal against the Russian Ministry of Finance in a case involving the repayment of government loans and credits.  A commercial bank that is a successor to the Ministry was denied on its claim against the client for over 50 million rubles.
