VEGAS LEX law firm is sponsor of seminar-conference on matters of regulation of procurement activities in oil and gas industryOn 8 June 2018, the VEGAS LEX law firm, jointly with the National Oil and Gas Forum and involving FAS Russia, held a legal hands-on seminar on the topic "New legislative initiatives and arbitration practice in regulation of procurement activities".* Alexandra Vasyukhnova, VEGAS LEX Partner, Head of Technology and Investment group, and Yulia Polyakova, Associate of VEGAS LEX Commercial group, spoke about the recent changes made to Law No.223-FZ and described in detail what kind of actions the customers will require to take due to the adopted changes. The experts further analyzed the legal positions contained in the new overview of the Presidium of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation concerning the practice of application of Law No.223-FZ. Karina Sharova, Deputy Head of FAS Russia’s Government Procurement Control Department, explained how Law No.223-FZ is applied and spoke about typical violations of its provisions that the antimonopoly authority is facing as well as about the practice of holding the customers administratively liable.
