VEGAS LEX at the seminar "Business interruption insurance: Modern approaches and settlement of losses"The VEGAS LEX’s experts participated in the seminar on the Russian professional insurance market held on 12 September at Hotel Baltschug Kempinski. About 200 representatives of the Russian insurance community, such as insurance brokers, law firm officers, consulting representatives and other representatives of the Russian insurance market, joined the past event organized by the Union of Insurance Experts and Adjusters. Viсtor Petrov, Head of Litigation practice of VEGAS LEX, delivered presentation during the first session of the event. Victor highlighted the issue of current interest and importance, i.e. legal aspects of settlement and recovery of damages resulting from business interruption. Other participants of the session spoke of modern practices in determination of the amounts of losses in cases of insurance against cyber-risks, in the large business insurance projects as well as insurance against interruption in work of electric power plants and in other industries.
